The year in hip-hop winds up with a strong lineup that includes: Common, Ghostface, and Scarface. Here's a rundown of this December's top new rap releases.

10. Keak Da Sneak & San Quinn - 'Welcome To Scokland' (Ehustl.com)

Oakland native Keak da Sneak joins forces with San Quinn join to release Welcome To Scokland, a tribute to their hometown. While Keak has made a name for himself via the hyphy movement he helped popularize, San Quinn is relatively unknown outside the Bay area. Welcome To Scokland just might be the breakthrough album he needs to propel his career to the next level.

9. Messy Marv - 'Draped Up and Chipped Out 3'

Messy Marv's Draped Up & Chipped Out series, one of the most successful Bay Area street albums in recent memory, has now reached its third installment. The stellar lineup on Vol. 3 include: Tech N9ne, Glasses Malone, Killer Mike, San Quinn, Mistah F.A.B. Guce and many more.

8. Glasses Malone - 'Beach Cruiser' (Universal Motown)

Beach Cruiser is the debut album by deep-voiced west coast rapper Glasses Malone. G Malone reportedly signed a $1.7 million deal with Sony Urban after impressing A&R head Mike Lynn with his street-honed raps.

7. Soulja Boy - iSouljaBoyTellem (Interscope)

ISouljaBoyTellem is Soulja Boy's sophomore album. The teen rap sensation has launched a "Platinum in a Week" campaign in a bid to crack the 1 Million mark in the first week of release.

6. Kool Keith & Jacky Jasper - 'Stoned'

7th Veil is a hip-hop side project by Jacky Jasper (AKA H-Bomb) and Kool Keith (too many AKAs to name). Stoned features appearances by Snoop Dogg, Flava Flav, Ice-T, and Kururpt.

5. Jadakiss - 'The Last Kiss' (Def Jam)

The Last Kiss is the final entry in Jada's Kiss trilogy, which began way back in 2001 with Kiss tha Game Goodbye and continued with 2004's Kiss of Death. Of course, a lot has transpired since then. Kiss left Ruff Ryders and joined Def Jam, at Jay-Z's beckoning. The Last Kiss is led by the Ne-Yo-assisted single, "By My Side." It also boasts guest appearances by Jay-Z, Faith Evans, Lil Wayne, Styles P, and Ghostface Killah.

4. EPMD - 'We Mean Businness' (EP Records)

EPMD (Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith) have definitely made a mark in hip-hop, from New York to Cali. The most sampled hip-hop act of all time return for another go-round on We Mean Business, their 7th LP. This time, they team up with Method Man, Raekwon, Skyzoo, KRS-One, and Keith Murray.

3. Ghostface Killah - 'Ghostdeini the Great' (Def Jam)

Ghostdeini the Great is a wild assortment of remixes and new songs, as well as old gems from Ghostface Killah. The cuts on this semi-greatest hits compilation include: "Run" Remix (featuring Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Raekwon, Freeway) and "Kilo Remix" (featuring Raekwon & Pusha T). He even tossed in a track called "Ghostface Christmas" for good measure. How can you not love this guy?

2. Common - 'Universal Mind Control' (Geffen)

Here's yet another album that has undergone some title change this year. This one started out as Invincible Summer, but after several pushbacks, Common settled for Universal Mind Control. "U.M.C." is also the title of its electro-tinged lead single. Produced entirely by the Neptunes, the stripped-down soundbed of Universal Mind Control is a sharp departure from the sample-heavy production (courtesy of Kanye) that marked his previous 2 albums.

1. Scarface - 'Emeritus' (Rap-A-Lot/Asylum)

After 21 years in the game, every new Scarface album is still met with the same level of enthusiasm that greeted his early ones. Emeritus is the latest in a long line of albums released since announcing his "retirement" in 2004. Surprise! Surprise!! Face has announced that he intends to quit rap after Emeritus, which boasts songs like "High Powered," "Soldier Story" and "Redemption Song".
