A judge has ordered Nas to pay Kelis nearly $40,000 in monthly support. According to court reports, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger issued the order at a Thursday hearing, where both Nas and Kelis were absent.
Kelis will receive $30,471 in spousal support per month, while the couple's son will receive $9,027 per month. Ouch!
Nas and Kelis have been squabbling over child support and divorce for the past few months, with both sides accusing each other of infidelity. Somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, Kelis managed to give birth to their baby boy named Knight. Please join me in wishing that kid plenty of luck, because he's going to need it.

Yes, this is terribly sad. Nas’ “Illmatic” album is one of my favs, but now I’ve lost some respect for him. TMZ.com reported that he showed up to the hospital drunk during the delivery and has refused to give Kelis a dime. I doubt she needs $55,000 to survive, as TMZ reported, but he could have willingly given her some amount of money, just for Knight’s sake.
Nas is my favorite rapper.

That kid is going to need a lot of therapy. I wonder how much of that almost 40,000 Nas is going to pay and how much that kid is really going to see.
