If you ask me, Devin the Dude is one of the most talented rappers to bubble up from the southern rap ooze this decade. And that's not just my Houston bias speaking. Devin's 6th album, Landing Gear, is one of the new rap CDs worth checking out this month. Other artists with new albums on the horizon include: Black Milk, Statik Selektah, and the Knux. Here's a complete rundown of October's Top 10 Rap Releases.

no sway?? are you seriously a real hip hop fan or do you just like us hip hop?? sway should be no. 1 hands down but for you 2 not even include him in the top ten is a joke…i would bet good money that sways album will run rings around those other albums you have as “top rap releases”…it just shows your single mindedness 2 not appreciate brilliant uk hip hop

I hate to be the negative one here but that is all we have been getting here lately. The same ol’sh*t. It would be nice to get something that has not been said before or sounds like you or the next guy or his labelmate or Dre…I mean come’on. Is all the creativity gone?? Everything sounds the same or these idiots are coppying someone or each other or remaking a Biggie or Pac song or some DJ mixed there SH*T. (so that the record sales will be AIGHT) The whole year has flopped!!!!! What could Jay Z possibly rap about or DRE or FITI,,,or that Punk Kanye…His next CD is gonna be what…”Retained fo a year”…..or “How I got my GED”..OR better yet Henry lets get everyone together & rap “We are the World” to save the lil chilrin…You know why the heavy hitters haven’t dropped yet this year right??? They know wassup!!!! Honestly I would rather go watch a Kimbo Slice fight than buy one of these sh*tty so called artists CD’s. At least I know what I am getting before I see it.

This album is lame…you can can The Dude is getting tired and just spittin out the same ol sh*t every young punk is puttin out there. Rap needs a renovation from this watered down mess…
