Aww, man, I really thought they were gonna honor Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince this year conmemorating the 20th anniversary of their first ever rap grammy..
They need to add these hip hop legends: Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, Scarface among others. These are great, brilliant detailed storytellers in hip hop. They kept it right by now bowing down and in givin into the industry. And if weren’t for G Rap (who started mafioso rap) and Scarface, these rappers wouldn’t be as good as they are Jay-Z, Nas, Raekwon, Big Pun, Notorious B.I.G., Prodigy, Eminem and others rappers. Give respect and credit to whom it is due!!!!! Peace!!!
But I must add that these artists do deserve to be on this list. In my opinion, and others can could agree with me (including you Henry), they all should have been inducted way before Missy Elliot did!!! That’s just how I feel!!!
Slick Rick – The greatest hip hop storyteller ever!!!! Hands down!!!
Too Short – The original pimp in hip hop and is still making abums to this day. Why?!?! Because he loves the music!!!!
Cypress Hill – “Insane in the Brain!!!” The 1st latino hip group to platinum.
Naughty By Nature – representing NJ to the fullest….”Hip Hooray!!!!”
De La Soul – One of the greatest hip hop groups ever. These men stayed to true to who they were, just by being “Me, Myself, & I!!!” Enough said.
Dj Expanium, nice comment..
