Cheers to The Roots for reinserting anticipation into the art of record-shopping. I can't tell you how many times a friend has called or emailed to ask "When is that new Roots album dropping?" As you know, Rising Down isn't the only highly anticipated rap album of April. Bun B's II Trill and Prodigy's second H.N.I.C. installation are also scheduled to arrive later this month. So, we're in for an exciting time. Without further ado, here are the Top 10 Rap Releases for April.

hmm. as excited as i am for Rising Down, i can’t help but wonder where Saigon’s album is. Henry, is there anything you can tell me about it? O well. at least saigon is a guest on Rising Down.
I haven’t heard anything newsworthy about Saigon’s album. I’ll definitely keep you updated if I hear anything.
Even if I hadn’t heard any songs from Rising Down, I’d be intrigued by the oxymoronic title and bizarre album art alone.

Saigon just sed in an interview on xxlmag.com that GSNT is expected for July or late June…..BTW i wonder wats goin on wit Nas’ cd

@ Cathal. You misunderstood. I said I would still be intrigued by the album’s title and art even if I hadn’t heard any tracks. This is a highly anticipated album, so I listened to as much as I could as soon as it became available.
