Lil Wayne Not Sure When to Release Tha Carter III

Lil Wayne is one of the most sought-after rappers in the game, yet he hasn't released a solo album in three years. But that will soon be history, as Wayne readies his next solo effort, the eagerly-awaited Tha Carter III. "The Carter III is coming in 2008," Wayne told MTV recently. "I don't want to give no months, no date."
No date, but fans won't have to wait too long to get an idea of what the album might sound like. Weezy plans to shoot a video for his lead single, "Showtime." Among the seasoned music video directors he's considering for the job are Gil Green ("We Takin' Over") and Benny Boom ("Amusement Park" and "Straight to the Bank").
Producers on board for Tha Carter III include: Kanye West, Just Blaze, Timbaland, and Mannie Fresh.

Lil Wayne is a clown. I don’t know why this guy is “hot” right now. He’s a terrible rapper. Says lines that make no sense however people still seem to love this guy.
Are you crazy??? Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive (not just saying it because he did). He’s been hot ever since 1998 (that’s ten years!) and Tha Carter III is going to be a great album! Carter III coming February (so I’ve heard.)

the list goes on. Lil’ Wayne is not even close to holding the title as the best rapper alive. He has a long way to go and if his claims are right as to “perfecting his craft” I’m afraid he’ll never make it.
Half of Lil’ Wayne’s lyrics don’t make sense. Why? Simple…he’s high on promethazine all the time.
In response to comment #4, yes, I like all of the guys you mentioned, but Weezy is better in my opinion. When Tha Carter III drops, you will be sorry you messed with him.
As for his lyrics not making sense, you have to think about what it means for a little while. That’s the freakin point of his lyricism.
Ask anyone in hip hop, they will vouch for this guy (just had to say that.)

Alrite lets get this straight, the dude’s got some talent but he aint no greatest rapper alive. He can be wack just cuz of all the material he puts out, but he’s also got some hot verses in his catalogue (mostly on someone elses song). RIGHT NOW tho, he is not better than Nas, Lupe, Immortal Technique, Ludacris (dont even front), Papoose, Pharoahe Monch, Andre 3000, Budden and AT LEAST 15 others. With that being sed, i am lookin forward to listenin to Carter 3, jus based on the beats he’ll be getting, and cuz he can drop some hot verses
if you think wayne at the top then you dont follow gangsta rappers. you follow main stream hip hop should be categorized as pop rappers.

Easily the best rapper alive in my opinion. Regardless, the only objective judgement is the number of Wayne songs that get played every day, on every ipod, radio station, etc. In that case, I bet his number kills that of any other rapper that has ever lived.
You don’t have to like his music, but you can’t deny him as the champion of the game. The scoreboard decides that.

Thank god someone says it (beside me, that is.) Wayne is the best, and there is no way you can think otherwise. His lyrics are above anyone else’s, including KRS, Rakim, Nas, Jay-Z, etc. Much luv to all those guys, but recognize who’s really the best. Please.

Yea Wayne is hot but he’s definetly not the best. I mean if you still young and think you a thug and all that bs then yea you think Wayne is the best, on the flip side of that if you are mature and versatile in your taste of muzik then yea Wayne is aight. It’s comedy a lot of his lyrics are comedy and it’s amazing how he ties it all in a song. But for the best you just cant say Wayne has that title think about all the different styles of rap within rap, you have the south,north,Cali etc..they are all rap/hip-hop but yet so different. There is no one best in the game. (If there is a best you would have to go back and pull out your eight-tracks and dig the 80’s the originators of moder hip-hop) Think about it!!
