Eminem Re-Up's New Mixtape

For the two of you that still care about Eminem, the angry blonde is back with a new Whoo Kid-helmed mixtape aptly titled The Re-Up. Let's not get started on how unoriginal that title is (clues: The Clipse, Ras Kass).
According to MTV's Mixtape Monday (obviously your Tuesday becomes Monday because of Memorial Day), producer/DJ Alchemist gave Eminem some fresh beats to rhyme over.
If anyone's really excited about Eminem's mixtape, it's (surprise, surprise) G-Unit DJ Whoo Kid: "Em's sh-- is gonna be ridiculous," Whoo Kid bragged. "I'm gonna make so much money, I don't know why I'm going on tour." Really? "It's about what we pick to be on the mixtape," Whoo Kid added. "It will be extra songs I'll bootleg on something else later. But the fact that Em is coming back, I'm just happy to be a part of that." Not that knowing the answer to this question will add some money to my bank account, but why is he calling it a bootleg if he's the one orchestrating the mixtape? (Source: MTV)

Eminem is a prolific lyricist, one of the greatest in my opinion, but his mixtape joints have never been that spectacular. With the exception of his classic “Got It Twisted” freestyle and a few others, the rest is blah.
Besides, his last album (Encore) proved that the man is in a lyrical slump. And, if you’ve been following the news lately, Em even said he’s been struggling with writer’s block.

Eminem is not average. Eminem is a once in a lifetime rapper. All you haters need to stop and listen to his sh*t for once, take it in. I’ll be the first to admit, Encore, shake that ass, and that song for the Longest Yard soundtrck were all complete garbage. BUT,,, He is THE SICKEST of all time. Above the hype, THE SICKEST. That has already been proven and no artist can lose talent like that. EVER.

I just want to clarify one thing. Eminem is not wack or average or even above average, he’s an EXCELLENT lyricist like I’ve already said in a previous comment. Please take the time to actually read the article and the Eminem profile on this site before you jump behind your keyboard and get your internet-thuggery on. In fact, I hate to go this route, but, Eminem is actually one of my favorite rappers of all time, but the truth is that HE HAS FALLEN OFF lately. Point blank period. If he drops a hot mix tape or another classic album, I’ll give him props. If it’s weak, he’s getting a bad rap. Eminem is the greatest artist EVER. Period. Better than the Beetles, Kiss, or any other gay artists that you guys probably like. He’s the most creative lyricist this planet has ever seen. And for anyone who knows how his lyrics work, Encore is equally as impressive as his other CD’s.

first, everyone get off of henry’s case. he is just stating the truth. Em is great and up there with the best, but he is going through somewhat of a drop off in his music. the imagination, content, lyrics, and everything else has went into a slump. if anyone here is a true eminem fan and can say that the material he has put out lately is even close to his earlier works, is deaf. but he will come back, even dre himself fell off a bit.
as far as being better than pac nah neva i think he definatly on par with jay z as a lyricist and a business man but he is definatly better than biggie, biggie is so overated he didnt have time to show his talent maybe if he would have lived longer and produced a few more classics i mean so many people come ot with 2 albums den f**k up on dere 3rd n yeh encore wasent the greatest he talked about sh*t all sometimes but he even admitted it e.g Big weenie which is actually quite amusing in my opinion.

heh, its kinda funny how ya say he doesnt hold a torch near mr “jay-z” listen to the track renegade eminem rips that that sh** and jay-z to parts on that track. and plus its a mixtape with new songs by em not a damn LP its just a mix tape before he brings out a new album. im a fan of eminem but his encore album was a total disappointment to listen too. but he’ll never be able to match the sim shady lp or the marshall mathers lp. times change and people change music changes all the time only time will tell if em can get back to his best.

the mixtae is cumin out december 5th or 6th dont know exactly. But eminems best song is spend some time on encore it is so sick. Like toy soldiers is also a great. Stan is among the top also. Eminem in my opinion is the best freakin rapper that has ever had the guts to rap about political s**t going on, and other crap that everyone thinks, but doesnt want to say. For this he is the top rapper in my mind, and he will always be my idol forever.
