The top 10 rap/hip-hop albums on Billboard for the week ending on 7-1-06.

1. Busta Rhymes - The Big Bang

A #1 debut is usually the dream of many aspiring rappers. For Busta Rhymes, a well-known hip-hop icon, it's the first time on top in his 15-year career. Rhymes moved 216,171 units of The Big Bang to clinch the coveted spot on the Billboard 200. Dr. Dre must be heaving a sigh or relief right now.

2. Ice Cube - Laugh Now, Cry Later

Following a strong opening week, Ice Cube's, Laugh Now Cry Later has now sold an additional 59,138 copies to earn him the #11 position on the Billboard 200 this week. Cube has now unleashed his Snoop Dogg-assisted single, "Go to Church," to keep the momentum alive.

3. Yung Joc - New Joc City

Yung Joc's underwhelming Bad Boy debut has slipped from last week's #2 spot to #9 on the albums chart. New Joc City earned the ATL-ien an additional 66,921 units in sales this week.

4. T.I. - King

T.I. bows at #28 with a solid 34,703 copies of the much-heralded King sold this week.

5. DJ Khaled - Listennn: The Album

DJ Khaled's all-star KOCH debut rounded off the current week with 21,673 discs sold. The Beat Novocaine's Listennn:The Album has now garnered over 60,000 in two weeks.

6. Chamillionaire - The Sound of Revenge

Chamillionaire, who recently signed a publishing deal with Universal, ended his week strong with 34,855 units of The Sound of Revenge.

7. Cam'ron - Killa Season

Cam'ron is still having trouble making a killing this season. The Harlemite settled for the #91 position--30 steps down the ladder from last week--on Billboard with only 12,261 copies of Killa Season sold.

8. E-40 - My Ghetto Report Card

E-40's report card is far from stellar this week. The hyphy chieftain managed to sell 10,801 copies of My Ghetto Report Card this week.

Struggling to hold onto his crown, Don Omar lands on #61 with just over 17,375 discs sold this week.

Yo Gotti's debut, which has now exited the Top 100, reeled in a 5,060 units, bringing his total sales to a meager 33,563.
