Ten rap songs that are incinerating charts and ears everywhere. The weekly Top 10 is based mainly on aesthetic value, relevance, and performance on various charts.

1. Xzibit - Thank You

Xzibit, aka Alvin Joiner, scores his first number one with this poignant track from Full Circle.

2. Talib Kweli - Listen!!!

According to the official Blacksmith Records website, Kweli's Ear Drum LP is now slated to drop in 2007.

3. Young Jeezy - I Luv It

Jeezy's Thug Motivation 102: The Inspiration (December 12) joins Def Jam's arsenal of fourth quarter releases. Other big league Def Jam releases this quarter include Jay-Z's Kingdom Come (November 28), Nas' Hip-Hop Is Dead (December 19), Fabolous' From Nothin' to Somethin' (December 26).

Speaking of Def Jam's release schedule, Jay-Z recently made it clear that he's not responsible for the delay on Nas' new album. "It ain't like his album is ready and I'm like, 'No, no, Nas,'" Jay says in the December issue of XXL. "It bugs me out that people really make these things up ... I'm not holding Nas' album back. His album is not ready."

5. Lupe Fiasco feat. Jill Scott - Daydreamin'

Lupe Fiasco, who has been challenging mainstream hip-hop with thought-provoking lyrics, is featured on My Block Chicago soundtrack alongside Twista, Rhymefest and others.

6. Eminem, 50 Cent, Ca$his, and Lloyd Banks - You Don't Know

Last week, Eminem premiered another song from The Re-Up compilation on Sirius radio. The song titled "Get Low" features a solo performance by Stat Quo and production from Dr. Dre. The Re-Up arrives December 5, 2006.

8. The Game - It's Okay (One Blood)

On a yet another G-Unit dis, "Sound Scan," (over Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come") The Game reads the soundscan figures for the week, and declares Lloyd Banks' Rotten Apple a commercial flop. As if the world needs another G-Unit dis from Mr. Taylor.
