Guide Review - Eminem - "We Made You"

With robust horns and a hard-hitting drumline, Eminem's new lead single sounds like... well, Eminem's old lead singles. What has changed is that his iconic irreverence and rapid-fire barrage of generic insults (targeted at such "esteemed" figures as Lindsey Lohan, Sarah Palin, and Jessica Alba) is now punctuated with a careening hook, providing a female voice to the absurd stream of borderline misogyny. As Em puts it, "You think that's bad, you should hear the rest of my album!" Anyone looking for weightier content or stronger lyricism should take the man's advice.

People that destroy this song are not really understanding the whole concept behind the word ""Relapse"" yes that's the album name and what does the word mean, (Falling back or going back to old behaviors) Hint Hint! Eminem's singles have always been this way, so why would it shock people, plus i feel he is playing off this whole relapse title to egg people on to feel that he has indeed lost it. If, you truly listen to the entire song and put it together ""We the ones who made you"" Eminem is saying that his poking fun at other has made him famous...think about it. Eminem is a great lyricist, but some of his best songs don't get airplay but the corny poking at people song get all the airplay. Their the one's that made him!
