Prodigy, one half of Queens, NY duo Mobb Deep, sought 50 Cent's blessings to release his new solo project outside of the G-Unit household. Fif quickly okayed the move.

Return of the Mac is produced entirely by long time Mobb-affiliate Alchemist. Prodigy will also drop another disc, H.N.I.C. 2, later this year.
