On "Show Me What You Got" music video, Jay attempts to create this epic, boundless thrill ride of his career all in about 4 minutes. As, Jay races in his sports car the video merely becomes a commercial of his life–-fast cars, furious alcohol consumption, and a missing girlfriend.
Jay oversteps the boundaries of video protocol and sets out to make a preview of his blockbuster career that eerily resembles a future biopic. Directed by F. Gary Gray, the video is grand, but wholly mismatches the song's undeniable cascading classical sound. The clip, a conspicuously self-indulgent ride through Jay's successes, achievements, and fetishes, badgers an undeniable fact: Jay is rich and does what rich people do. Jay shows us, but not something we have not seen already.
