Watching Jay-Z's "Blue Magic" video is like discovering a small piece of a large puzzle. The clip and the album it's taken from were inspired by Ridley Scott's film "American Gangster." The film's main character Denzel Washington is seen at the end of Jay-Z's video explaining "Blue Magic" as a brand name. Many of the visuals and anecdotes will be better discerned when both "American Gangster" and American Gangster are unveiled to the public on November 2nd and November 6th respectively.
