Top 10 Billboard Rap Albums for 5-6-06

By Henry Adaso, About.com

This chart, which reflects album sales and chart performances, is culled from Billboard's Rap Albums chart.

1. T.I. - King

T.I. has watched his fourth album, King, enjoy the #1 success that eluded its predecessor (2004's Urban Legend debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200).

2. LL Cool J - Todd Smith

Uncle LL recently released Freeze, his collaboration with Lyfe Jennings, as the second single from Todd Smith

3. Chamillionaire - The Sound of Revenge

With twenty-two weeks spent on the Billboard chart, sales for Cham's major debut has stalled at over 500,000. Interestingly, various record stores in Houston still have tons of extra copies of the album littered on the shelves.

7. Cam'ron Presents Dukedagod - Dipset: The Movement Moves On

9. Dem Franchise Boyz - On Top of Our Game

The infectious snap smash, "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit" seems to be the only fuel to DFB's fire lately. The boys now have a gold plaque to show for all the years of leanin' and rockin' hard on the charts.

10. B.G. - The Heart of Tha Streetz - Vol 2

B.G.'s latest is almost a contrived offering, never straying too far from vain talk and street slanguistics.
