Yesterday, we were debating the possibility of a Curtis vs. Graduation face-off on 9/11. 50 Cent has added his voice to the debate. In case you had any doubts (I'm looking at you, Nero), 50 has made it clear that he's not ready to back down for Mr. West. In fact, he doesn't even consider Kanye a threat.
"It's coming out September 11th and I’m not pushing it back. I’m not moving under any circumstances," 50 told Hot 97 FM's Funkmaster Flex last night. When Flex reminded him that Kanye plans to release Graduation on that same day, the G-Unit General had this to say:"I mean, I hope that they see and understand what’s getting ready to happen. I’m not moving. I’m coming September 11th. If Kanye come that day, then he come that day. I mean that’d be great if he actually stays in that date. I think his people are smart. I think he’s smart too. I think they’ll move, but I'm not moving…Jay’s not gonna let that happen anyway. He’s not gonna leave him there."

It’s as simple as this, on Sept. the 11th of 2007, both their albums will come out, or should (whichever).
When I go into Circuit City or Target they both will get sold out cause there’s loyalty to both an’ the both have a wide an’ diverse audience an’ fan base. They won’t sell out in Virgin Megastore because they charge to much for their CDs. Circuit City and Target have better prices an’ both artist don’t have that Tupac, Biggie an’ Jay-Z clout to sell out Virgin.
When I go to the store I’m buying both cause I like them both. I’m jus’ waiting along with the most of the hip hop world to see who sells more the first week. They both bring something different to the table an’ they both appeal to a lot of people an’ sometimes the same type of people at the same time. Jus’ gotta wait an’ see.
I’m guessing they’ll both come out on top, fighting for the top weeks after the release an’ probably both sell the same amount the first week. I’m sure we’ll be back here again debating Hip-Hop America’s taste in hip-hop music.

West also appeals to a wider slice of the market, rapping about a wider range of topics rather than the hackneyed “drugs and ‘hos” rapping favoured by 50 cent, which frankly hasn’t been groundbreaking or original since the 90’s. 50 Cent has no future competing against genuine talent like Kanye. He was a product of commercial hype, and quality engineered beats by Dr. Dre on his 1st album. Without that, we’ve all seen the ramifications. Your only as good as your last product, especially if the formula hasn’t changed. Kanye controls his unique sound as producer, and only improves as both producer and rapper as time progress. 50 cent is one dimensional. That’s blatant disrespect to Kanye’s talent. These comments aren’t against him as a person, 50 just needs to show a little more humility, and tone it down a bit. He creates this negative energy with his attitude. The proof should be in his music, not in controversy. I do feel he’s and excellent business man, and generated a healthy income from his business decisions. If he’s not careful, he’ll continues to loose it all with this attitude. 50 used these tactics to try to destroy Ja Rule, and everyone who worked with him. Unnecessary tactics. His own negative energy is coming back to haunt him. “If you live by the sword, you die by the sword”. In this case, the sword is not any adversary of his, IT’S THE PUBLIC.

This is a publicity stunt, 50 is running out of music lyric and that is why 50 cent is going to retire. 50 cent already has a game plan. he realize that he cannot make as much money doing a hundred and 50 things, so he is going to fall back a push his artist. He also has a lot of investments, rapping was just the beginning of his investment. So why not fall back after this album and make more money.

The only reason why ‘50 cent’(Curtis Jackson), is seeking another ‘beef’ is because he was desperately looking for marketing campaign that can work. Curtis Jackson’s history mainly consist of selling his record successfully by making ‘beef’ to hype things up. If you think about it the whole “Kanye Wesst vs. Curtis Jackson” doesnt make sense. They are very different hip hop artists. I wouldnt be surprised if 50 cent(Curtis) next album was about another “beef”. Please dont buy into his ridiculous marketing campaign, all he wants is money, and its business. Its as simple as that.
The music - is out and I have hear both album - they have stretch mr. west too far - and his new album sounds - like he looks - tired. 50 - has had a chance to rest and come up with some new work - that has some - great songs and collaborations with other artists - Kanye is young - he’ll catch up- perhaps it is time for him to take a rest- and stop with all that hype - and get back to the studio…

Hopefully by then we would have evolved to a more advanced and civilized state of being, and would not find glorifying guns, violence, criminal activity and degrading women as an important part of society, as 50’s songs dictate about today. If anything, it’s 50’s music that is time stamped or trendy. Since when has thought provoking material been considered a trend. Public Enemy, KRS-ONE, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, all created thought provoking timeless material, and are all considered true artists of the game. Kanye can fit in this list, how about 50?
