Right from the second we published last week's poll, Tupac Amaru Shakur ran away with the lead and never looked back. According to 798 Pac-a-holics out there, Mr. Shakur is the greatest rapper of all time. Rakim settles for the runner-up spot with 353 votes. Does that make Ra the best rapper alive? Who cares about 2pac, Nas, Biggie, and Jay-z all of them are gay. The best rapper of all time is C-Murder and Lil Romeo. Lil Romeo brings heat when he raps. The best rapper is Tupac, but the best rappers right now are Young jeezy, Jadakiss, and the game. Jadakiss when he has the shot can be the best lyricist in the game.

Lil Wayne is objectionally the best. The order of the list after that is subjective. I would personally have Eminem, then Nas, then 2Pac. I’m a huge 2Pac and Nas fan, but their messages are too personal and left brain to affect a wide audience or be played through your speakers all day. Lil Wayne delivers with perfect vagueness, so that anybody on earth can feel what he’s talking about. His flow and versatility are unmatched. The uniqueness of his voice is unmatched. The production on the Carter I and II defined a new style, which is nearly impossible in rap.

I feel you Richard. Young ‘uns just ignorant ’bout Rakim. He’s a devistating lyricist. Never hated on other rappers (even when they were ripping his original style) and always showed love to his fans and stayed true to the artform. Rakim The Master!
It’s all about Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Biggie, Jadakiss, Styles P, and Cassidy. These r da niggaz dat have my respect. They have sum of da most unique styles ever. Especially Weezy F Baby. He spits like no otha.

Don’t get me wrong, Jay - Z, Nas, and Notorious B.I.G. were/are great rappers but what Tupac Shakur did in 5 very short years is unmatched.
This list needs a little revising and I’m sorry to everyone else here, but Tupac shouldn’t be number one, two, or three. I’d take:
1. KRS-One, I’d call him the one of the best lyricist and he’s socially conscience
2. Rakim, When he was with Eric B he was the best lyricist ever
3. Nas, his has some of the most complex rhymes
4. Tupac, reason he’s down here is because his lyrics are way too over rated because he died
5. Big Daddy Kane- listen to Raw, nuff said

Jay-Z might have amazing flow, but some of his lyrics don’t make sense.
Eminem has the lyrics, but does not help out with the Hip Hop flow.
Run DMC are the godfathers of Hip Hop, taging with original flow, but a little of the same rhymes.
Public Enemy- Even if they don’t have the cathiest and smartest lyrics, they have the most angerful, “heavy metal” vibe.
Boen Thugs N Harmony- The fast flow and warp-speed lyrics equals a “save the world” sucess on each song (even if 70% of their songs talk about taking X or smoking weed)
Nas- Proving in his lyrics that “Life’s a bitch”, Nas rings up a few real-life stories but with a loopy flow.
KRS One- With anger in his lyrics, KRS involves his political state of mind that influenced many minds.
Rakim- Truely, the most underrated rapper of all-time. His distanced flow matches with his instense, battle lyrics that real Hip Hop reviewers smile and remember about: true Hip Hop.
B.I.G- The most respected and feared MC during his time. With his un-de-ni-a-ble flow and his “tap that ass” dissing lyrics, B.I.G is known as number two on my list.
2Pac- The greatest Hip hop artist in my opinion. His lyrics make the most sense because it is catchy and also talks about the harshest realities that are going on in the ghetto where the government doesn’t even dare to talk about. Even though he doesn’t have the best flow, he has the greatest power on the most important part of rapping: lyrics.
2pac was and is the greatest rapper that ever lived he has past and gone to a better place. he was a legend and legends never die he will remain in the hearts of thousands of people and changed the life of millions. his music touched the hearts of everyone, and he was always speaking of real things that happend in the past and thats what makes a legend. ” 2pac. is the name that will live on forever and not be forgotten” rest in peace we love ya forever.
