Rap's Grammy Winners

By February 11, 2013

Follow me on:

The streets of the 55th Grammy Awards were paved with regal gold. Jay-z hue, to be precise. Jay and Kanye West swept the hip-hop categories and mopped the floor with their collaborative album, Watch the Throne. The pair won for Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and Best Rap Performance. Drake broke up the monotony with his Best Rap Album win.

Here's a list of Grammy winners in rap categories

Best Rap Album: Drake, Take Care
Best Rap Song: "N---as in Paris," Jay-Z and Kanye West
Best Rap Performance: "N---as in Paris," Jay-Z and Kanye West
Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: "No Church in the Wild," Jay-Z, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and The-Dream

My man NaS was robbed once again. Life is Good was a far superior album as compared to Drake’s, Take Care. If my man Esco didn’t get a Grammy this year with a classic, when will he ever win? Just shows that pop rap has the critics’ ears. Major injustice.

Agreed that pop rap is all that has the critics’ ears, but I felt like both Take Care and Life is Good were overrated.

Nas was definitely robbed….. Life is Good is a Classic and Complete Album

I’m sick of how the Grammy’s disrespects Hip Hop culture and we con’t to put it in such high regards when its comes to Hip Hop music.

We need our Own Award show and Not B.E.T. Hip Hop awards because those are the same people behind the scenes…..
