One of rap's go-to metaphors is, "I'm more like Russell Simmons/You're more like [Insert Russell's nephew]." Well, JoJo won't sit idly and watch these dudes tarnish his reputation before he has a chance to build one. His younger brother Diggy took J. Cole to war over unflattering Simmons punchlines on "Grew Up Fast". Now big brother is taking shots at Juelz Santana over similar references.
JoJo gave Santana the business on a new diss over Game's "Holy Water." "How you gonna mention my uncle Russell then disrespect his nephew / The industry forgot you, you're nothing special," raps Jojo.
Meanwhile, Russell has instructed the editor of Global Grind, his entertainment site, to take down the song. "@MichaelSkolnik please Take down the jojo record," Simmons tweeted. "Don't wanna be subject of diss record, if I am don't wanna promote it." Yikes.
