Unfortunately, it's not a joke. N.O.R.E. (p.k.a Noreaga) is changing his moniker to P.A.P.I. He'll debut the shiny new name on his upcoming album, Student of the Game. But why switch names so late in the game? "I wanted to do something totally different for the album," P.A.P.I. told MTV News.

OMG… I don’t get it. Why rappers change their names? People from all around the World know Mos Def, N.O.R.E., Snoop Dogg, and not Y. Bey, PAPI or S. Lion. Damn it!
