Admit it. You were hoping for new material when you saw that headline. Alas, "New York to Cali" is a previously unreleased gem from The Master-era Rakim. Producer Dominic Owen unearthed it for the masses today. Go ahed and give it a spin, if you're feeling nostalgic.

I know its still November, but I’m looking forward to the top songs list for this year. Among others, hopin Nas’ Loco-Motive, Bronson’s 9-24-11, and Earl’s Chum make it. Also, Tyga’s M****f**** Up. Not a fan of Tyga or Nicki, but I can’t stop listening to it.
Good suggestions. Thanks man.
Can’t stop playing this. The beat is just nasty. Not sure if anyone has watched HBO’s 24/7 but that first 2 seconds sounds like a sample from the theme of that, which is awesome and I wish he would have used it a bit more.
