This album is mediocre, but is it as bad as 2 Chainz? I don’t think so.
Truuuuu. Which is why I gave it 2.5 stars.
Great review, I took all of 2chainz and Big Sean’s verses and looked at them together and it was pretty comical. I don’t really see how they add anything and I also didn’t like the guest features. Would have liked more Common and Mos Def. Most of the songs don’t have meanings and are just braggadocio which gets annoying. I hope Ye’s solo album is much better. Also when Big Sean said my crew deeper then Wu-Tang…that was chuckle worthy.
Great review. Sarcasm is such a hard thing to do but I think you succeeded very well.
I’m assuming from your list that my studio apartment that has a leaky faucet and occasional roaches is NOT a suitable environment to listen to this album. I knew I shouldn’t have sold my remote contol whirlpool hot tub.
This album is at least a 3 anyway u look at it. You have a certain taste, u like conscious hip hop Henry. I mean i like it too, but i grew up on the braggadacio-rap. I liked your review but i disagree with the 2 stars.
Jon – Can you throw suicides on your studio? If not, then I’m afraid you’re not allowed to listen to this album.
Don’t really care about the difference between 2.5 or 3 stars. Bottom line is the majority of this is forgettable. The worst MBDTF track is at least 5-10 times better than the best of these tracks…
