It's not a big deal that an album titled Cruel Summer is scheduled to drop in summer. No. Not unless you consider the fact that Cruel Summer was previously penciled for spring. Ye and company have righted the universe by prepping the album for August 7th, which is still technically summer.
And notice I said "Ye and company," because that date came from Pusha T of the G.O.O.D. Music clan. Pusha threw it out in a Hot 97 interview that's worth visiting for other reasons (he gets into the G.O.O.D. vs Young Money feud, the Drake vs. Chris Brown fight, and allathat juicy stuff).
Basically, nothing's etched in stone. What we know for sure is that the compilation will feature various rhymers and beat makers from the G.O.O.D. camp, including Pusha, Teyana Taylor, Big Sean, Q-Tip, Common and, of course, West himself. We've already heard the standout single "Mercy" and its wide-screen video. Now we just have to wait for Yeezy to set the dogs loose.
Really, how cruel can summer be if Kanye is dropping an album in it?

If it does come, I hope it has Mos Def on it. Speaking of which Henry, have you heard “Ni**as in Poorest”? It’s Yasiin’s take on the WTT single.
Doubt it sir.
