Azealia Banks' EP, 1991, has been delayed again. The project was originally slated for March before being pushed back to Tuesday (April 17). It's back on the back burner. Banks offered a candid explanation on Twitter last night.
"I just switched management.. Literally like three days ago, and have a whole new set of resources to take advantage of. We're gonna vamp this up and make it official.. No more ghetto mixes and closet recording.. I have a budget now! #brokewithexpensivetaste".
The EP will feature a mix of new songs ("1991," "Grand Prix"), previously released tracks ("212," "Liquorice"), and unheard songs. The 1991 EP is meant to pave the way for the Harlem rapper's full-length debut, Broke With Expensive Taste.
Update: About that new management thing? Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Banks is now being managed by Lady Gaga's handler, Troy Carter. Not a bad pickup.
