Kanye West Serves up Some "Theraflu"

By April 5, 2012

Follow me on:

Kanye West is using his new single to get a few things off his chest. You've got questions? Yeezy's got answers. How does he feel about his ex, Amber Rose, hooking up with Wiz Khalifa? Was he really in love with Kim Kardashian? Mr. West finally supplies some cold truths over a thumping Hit-Boy production.

The track features DJ Pharris. Word on the street is that it's from Kanye's upcoming solo album, not the G.O.O.D. Music compilation.

Did you really just make a post about theraflu? The recipe- Kendrick lama r has been out since monday with no post. You made a lame post about the diggy simmons jay cole beef no one on this earth cares about. Are you a real rap fan or just a joke. No one who frequents this site cares about these joke posts you’ve been making. Save that for the news sites. True kanye is kanye (at least 2 landmark albums and clear greatest of the 2000s so far) but the guy is making garbage music. Thumping production…give me a break.

I don’t take issue with a post about Theraflu or a lack of mention of The Recipe specifically. Agreed though that I could care less about the majority of hip-hop “beef” and really anything involving Diggy Simmons. I also find the sales/charts posts really useless. My biggest complaint though is simply that the posts seem to be few and far between. I would like to see more output in general. Maybe revisiting classic albums, larger number of reviews, ongoing discussion of trends/subgenres (I realize that you have little articles about these but they are quite old and minimal), or maybe more open forum stuff. Not really sure. I’m just rattling stuff off.

I agree with Kris. (But don’t you agree that Kendrick Lamar’s first single featuring Dr. Dre the biggest figure in rap right now outside of the jokes [drake, lil wayne, jay z] is a bit more important than a DJ Khaled produced Kanye Song. I challenge anyone to find even one song by Khaled worth mentioning.) Keep reviewing albums short reviews can be just as good as long ones (i.e. there is a premier album out and no review in sight). Trend/subgenre analysis is welcome as long as it excludes anything from wayne, minaj, drake, big sean, etc. We understand that you are busy so please dont waste your time commenting on these things, no one who frequents this site cares about them.

Honestly, sometimes in this world we can worry about what everyone else is doing or we can create our own reality. My reality is sharing my passion for hip-hop and for entertaining people with my music. Day boy Kanye is all about the dramaa, da press and da $$$ – can’t blame him for the fame and fortune but it’s tired…. and THERAFLU??? Check out some music from a guy who keeps it 100 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEU0XvaLuuw&feature=colike
