Eminem leads the group of hip-hop contenders at the 2010 Video Music Awards with 8 nominations. His single "Not Afraid" is up for "Video of the Year." He was nominated twice for Best Hip-Hop Video, one for "Not Afraid" and another alongside Drake for his contribution on "Forever." Aside from Lady Gaga, who leads everyone with 13 nods, no other artist scored more nominations than Eminem this year. So, what's got Em's panties in a bunch?
Following the announcement, Em jokingly bemoaned the date of the 2010 VMAs. "Apparently MTV doesn't care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMAs. F me, right?!?!, I mean, I'll be there but don't expect me to be nice about it."
Damn you, MTV. How dare you disrespect Eminem like that? Would it kill you to consult every nominee's tour schedule to see if they had anything else planned the next day? How hard is it to go through 429 names?

I agree with Jenna, I think he’s just joking, mainly because he’s said a bunch of times that he doesn’t care about the awards.

I agree…he was joking!! People take him way too seriously!! If you do know Em’s music and usual attitude towards these things, you can rest assured that he was definitely kidding…lighten up people!!
