I Like.
This track is awesome, got that soulfull ruckus records sound. However if it’s not broken why fix it. I was very dissapointed when Mos Def went from Black on Both sides to his experimental rock-rap of new Danger.
Kweli has been very consistent with his sound and his style from Black star, to RE, Beautiful Struggle and EarDrum albums there is always this soulful sound with consious lyricz. True straight hip hop with no mixed signals like rock, disco, electronica or whatever he feels like blending it with.
Like Ghostface, I think that when you get Kweli, you expect to get a sequel of it’s last album. Consistency is what I define Kweli by, I dont agree that’s a Con.
Eardrum was one of the most diverse hip-hop albums of recent memory, in terms of lyrical topics and musical style…
Just like each of the 3 tracks we’ve heard off this album so far have been different, and they’ve all been great. So whatever this album sounds like overall, I cannot wait for it.
