DJ Hero, the much buzzed about hip-hop game, made its U.S. debut yesterday. The game will make its trip across the Atlantic on October 30th. The standard version will set you back $120 version, and the Renegade Edition runs a full $200. The latter comes equipped with an upgraded turntable, a carrying case that converts to a DJ stand, as well as a Jay-Z and Eminem 2-CD set -- and the game, of course.
Have you played it yet? What's the verdict? Is it as great as Joystiq says it is?
If you've never heard of the game, here's a video of Eminem promoting DJ Hero.

haven’t played it yet but it looks awesome and it has gotten great reviews so far… definitely a Christmas present!
It rocks. I found myself grinning and giggling the entire 3 hours I played it last night. Medium is fun and challenging enough, the higher levels will require practice time.
Damn! Its so sick! Im playin medium right now. i get 4-5 stars. expert? no chance im gettin 1-2 stars. Requires practice but its sick!!! Love the tutorial w/ Grandmaster Flash
Great game. It really feels like you are scratching and mixing the music. All new mixes with old and new songs beautifully mixed and synced to superb sound. A must have for the “music” enthusiast and upcoming artists. 10 out of 10. Oh and also works with Guitar Hero guitar and features at least 10 songs with Guitar and Platters!
Why, oh why does it cost as much as a console?
@Henry
Because, they know you’ll still buy it…
200$ that’s half the investment of some starter tables, do the real thing you posers, America is filled with to many wanna be’s.
You can get a used turntable for $250 around these parts. You need two, so that’s going to run you up to $500. And that’s just for the tables.
Does it come with a microphone?….if not, can you connect one and sing, or is it strickly the turntable?
