Geto Boys rapper Willie D (William Dennis) has been indicted by a grand jury on 15 counts of wire fraud. Dennis was arrested has been charged with wire fraud in connection with a scheme to sell Apple iPhones and other electronics to overseas buyers over the Internet.
Federal agents began investigating the Houston rapper in September 2008, after one of the overseas customers filed a complaint with law enforcement. Dennis was said to have been posing as an electronics salesman. He used eBay to establish his credibility with international buyers, but once a customer showed interest, he allegedly directed them outside of eBay to conduct sales via e-mail.
Willie D required payment to be transferred to his bank account and once the transaction was confirmed, he would send tracking numbers for packages that were never shipped. When the buyers complained about not receiving their purchases, Dennis allegedly claimed he had filed a complaint with the U.S. Postal Service and that he could not refund their money until he knew where his products were. Eventually, Dennis would cease communication with the victimized parties.
If convicted, Willie D could face up to 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. He's currently on bond pending trial.

Wow. This is the first thing I am hearing of this and I am totally shocked. Been a fan of his and if the allegations are true I will probably lose all respect for him. Granted he probably hasn’t had much going for him income-wise lately.
That’s some foul stuff right there. I hope he doesn’t get 20 years though (not to say he doesn’t deserve to do some time for this).
In somewhat random discussion, I always liked Willie D. He has a great voice and delivery, and always managed to be dope but also make me laugh at times with his raw gangstaness. “You cried when yo grandma died, that was real! but you ain’t gotta cry no more, you goin’ to see her!”. I still think that’s funny…
