T.I. to Testify in Murder Trial

One of the suspects named in the murder of T.I.’s personal assistant and childhood friend, Philant Johnson, went on trial yesterday in Cincinnati. T.I. will be called to testify later this week in the trial of 34-year old Hosea Thomas, who has been accused of shooting Philant Johnson.

Authorities say Thomas fired shots into a car carrying part of T.I.'s entourage shortly after leaving Club Ritz in Roselawn. Johnson was killed in the shooting and 4 others were injured. The suspect faces multiple charges including murder and felonious assault, after nearly 2 years of investigating the May 2006 chase and shootout.

T.I. is expected to testify Friday.
