Lupe Fiasco Says His New Album is a Triple CD
Monday November 3, 2008
Lupe Fiasco has confirmed that his next (and final) album will be -- count it -- not one, not two, but three-discs long. Lupe said he decided to make L-U-P-END a triple CD because he wants to go out with a loud bang.
Here's what Lupe told a crowd at a recent performance:
"The name of my next album will be L-U-P-END. That's E.N.D. If you pay attention it’s not– one album. If my mathematics serve me correct, it’s not one album on this joint–it’s three. It’s going to be a triple cd on my next one. I love it too much just to go out with one!" He went on to say that the albums will be titled Everywhere, Nowhere, and Down Here respectively. Now, Lupe is a talented artist, no doubt. In fact, Food & Liquor and The Cool deserve to be mentioned among the best hip-hop music of this decade. Still, the cynic in me is skeptical about a triple-disc rap album. Hip-hop double albums have been disappointing in the past, with a couple of exceptions. So, imagine how much of an uphill task Lupe has created for himself. I'll be more than happy to eat my words if he delivers 100% pure quality on every verse, every track, every beat on L-U-P-END.

Lupe reminds me a lot of Nas, and maybe a little bit of Eminem on some of his more melodic free flowing verses.
Definitely waiting out at 7 in the morning for this one
yea henry, i think the problem with double albums is the excessive filler material that bogs down the album. But Lupe has a lot to say, and this is his last album, so I doubt their will be fillers. Seeing as how he gets better and better with each album, i have high, but not too high, expectation for this album.
it will be hot sauce. lupe’s beat choice is mint and if soundtrakk gets on most of the beats then look out.
He shud do it… NiggaZ got talent… hopefully he disapoint us… me…!!!!! (but i doubt he could do that)
ur an idiot bing. dont ever talk
