This year's MTV Video Music Awards was a reminder that music and politics aren't always mutually exclusive. To no one's surprise, the event was rife with music stars eager to maker their political voices heard. T.I. wore a shirt demanding that you "Respect my vote" and Taboo from Black Eyed Peas wore a shirt with Barack Obama's face and the word "Progress" emblazoned across it.
