Something magical happens in the music industry every 4th Quarter. Labels pull out the biggest big name artists money can buy and blast them off into the market, with hopes that holiday shoppers will stop to scoop up a CD or two. Sometimes the 4th Quarter rush yields compelling music. At other times, consumers get a bunch of hastily packaged (albeit well-funded) albums.
