Review: Big Boi - "Royal Flush" (Feat. Andre 3000 & Raekwon)

Thursday August 21, 2008
In poker, royal flush is the highest ranking standard hand, the most valuable hand. With that in mind, expect nothing short of a masterwork from "Royal Flush," Big Boi's leadoff single from Sir Luscious Left Foot. Boi reunites with his OutKast partner Andre 3000 and Wu-Tang MC Raekwon for one of the year's best collaborations. Here's my full take on "Royal Flush."

What’s up, Henry. This review here was overdue for some time, but with no further due this is one of the best songs of the year, lyrically. Andre 3000 just keeps on doing his thing, informing and giving the people food for thought of how times have changed (what’s considered good morally is not of the “hood” mentality and what’s “hood” is not good morally speaking.) It’s one of those that makes you think.
