When Life Gives You Lemons, You Set a New Record

Wednesday April 30, 2008

I can't stress the sheer brilliance of Atmosphere's When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Sh*t Gold. But if you're still unsure, maybe this news will get your lemon juices flowing. Billboard.com is reporting that When Life Gives You Lemons became the highest-charting album on the Rhymesayers imprint by debuting in the Top 10 this week. Lemons moved 36,000 units to land on No.5, well ahead of Prodigy's H.N.I.C. 2 which arrived at No.36, on the Billboard 200 Chart. That's a remarkable feat for an independent release.

ya good for them, hope they sell as much records as they deserve, sadly they probably won’t even get gold, when they deserve to sell millions of this classic album, best album of the year so far, i thought rising down was going to be it by now, but it ain’t a classic like game theory was… sadly atmosphere probably won’t even sell close to gold…

I went out and bought it after I saw the reviews for it and man…I was blown away. What a great album. Amazing.

It’s one of those albums no matter how many times you listen to it, you can still appreciate it and it never gets old. Gonna be listening to this album for a loooooooong time.
