Snoop Dogg Now Free to Visit the U.K.

Friday April 25, 2008

Phew! Snoop's and his legal team finally get a breather after an immigration judge upheld his request to reenter the U.K. The New York Times quoted Snoop Dogg’s lawyer, Phillip Trott, as saying that the process "has been an appalling waste of public money."

In 2006, Snoop was refused a visa after his entourage was accused of stirring up a scuffle at Heathrow Airport. Earlier this year, a British immigration judge, Nehar Bird, said he found no evidence that Snoop was to blame for the public disorder. A video of the London fracas that resulted in his ban showed Snoop did not resist arrest. He complied with instructions and even had the grace to entertain kids at the airport at one point.

Snoop released his 9th album, Ego Trippin', in March.
