If Mary J Blige Says It's True, Then It Must Be...

Monday April 7, 2008

It is with great sympathy and sorrow that I announce to all the bachelors that Beyonce Knowles is officially off the market. Sorry fellas, some big baller named Jay-Z has officially secured his place in Bey's life, according to People magazine, our dependable Gossip Guide, and Mary J Blige. Mary should know; she's been collaborating with Jay in the studio long before Beyonce was collaborating with him in the bedroom. Plus, they're both co-headlining a nationwide tour dubbed "Heart of the City." During a stop in Greensboro, North Carolina, Blige took the stage and offered some "Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl B."

After 6 years of being linked with each other, the hip-hop couple quietly tied the knot at Jay's New York apartment. Guests at the private event were mostly close friends and family members, including Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Chris Martin. Neither of the parties has given an official word on the marriage yet, but hey, that's to be expected with these two. If they stayed mum about their relationship for 6 years, can you imagine how long they'll go pretending they're not married?

(1) Lady J says:

I’m very happy for them. I always thought they made a beautiful couple together in there videos and in the few public appearances they’ve made together. They just look like they fit.
