(3) Kyle says:

Everytime I read these lists the songs are weaker and weaker. None contain any substance, meaning or even partially good lyrics.

(4) Shiban says:

(5) Henry says:

I agree, the first quarter is usually quiet and sub-par. Hopefully, things will heat up as the year progresses. What do you guys suggest? Should I suspend the chart until, say March, when things are sure to get better?

(6) AZ says:

Get on that most anticipated ‘08 list.

February 3, 2008 at 11:46 am
(7) Henry says:

^^There’s not much in that department as far as 08 goes. Dre says Detox won’t drop this year, and no one knows for sure if Em is even planning a comeback LP. Besides Game, T.I. (who’s still on house arrest) and a few others, there’s not enough material for a solid list this year. Sorry, man.

Hit me up if you need info on any specific 08 albums.

(8) Jamal says:

Henry, i thought Detox is set for June 08, fill me in on that. Also; Nas, Saigon, T.I., Lil Wayne, Game, Busta Rhymes, Snoop, 50, Em, AZ, maybe Raekwon, Q-Tip, Nelly, Three 6 Mafia, David Banner, Bishop Lamont, Budden, and Gnarls Barkley (if that qualifies as hip hop) all have albums set to come out this year, so how can you say theres not enough material for a solid list…..

(9) Henry says:

Ok, you guys win. What are some of the albums everyone’s anticipating for 08. Let’s see if we can come up with a list here.

I’ll kick things off by saying that I’m looking forward to:
Nas’ album
Detox (whenever Dre decides to drop it)
The Game’s LAX, and
Ra’s Seventh Seal

(10) Peg-Leg says:

Well, I’m looking forward to the Hot Boys’ new album, Eminem’s album, 50’s album, Dre’s album, and last but not least, THA CARTER III! It’s gonna be a good year.

February 7, 2008 at 1:02 pm
(11) Tommy Abu says:

What about MF Doom’s new album? (DOOMPOSTER or Madvillain or Doom / Starks… etc.)

Also, Del The Funky Homosapien’s first solo LP in 8 years! Come on, there is much to anticipate!

(13) E-blaze says:

when is T.I.’s new album supposed to come out? its called paper trials right?

February 23, 2008 at 4:57 pm
(14) E-blaze says:

also, the song lists arent real strong, but i understand how hard it is to constantly come up with good new material. its also hard because different people have different interests. But i say if it doesnt qualify for a top ten, dont pick it to fill space. do some investigating. but good job overall. its tough.
