Nas Reveals Controversial Song Titles from Nigger

Thursday November 29, 2007
As if his album title wasn't controversial enough, Nas has unveiled even more unnerving details from his upcoming LP. Speaking to MTV News, Nas had this to say about some of the songs on his album:
"I have a song called 'The Fear,' " he said. "The full title of the record is 'The Fear of the Black Man's D***.' That's some sh** you can get comedy [from], or you can get some seriousness from it when you talk about the barbaric castrations that happened in our past — which is very serious, nothing to laugh at."
Nas added that the album also boasts a song dubbed "You a Nigger Too." Nas has made it clear in previous interviews that he hopes to strip the N-word of its power as a racial slur with his new album. Originally set for a December release, the album has been postponed to February (Black History Month). It will feature production from DJ Toomp, Diddy, and Jermaine Dupri.
