9th Wonder, who has laced beats for everyone from Jay-Z and Jean Grae to Destiny's Child and Mary J. Blige, is often heralded as the Pete Rock of his generation. 9th dropped his first solo album, Dream Merchant Vol. 1, in 2005 with little or no buzz.
