Top 10 Rap Songs - October 3, 2007

Thursday September 27, 2007
*Sniff, sniff* Smells like that time of the week again. The current Top 10 is loaded with quality hip-hop hits. Kanye's toasts to the "Good Life"; Jay-Z keeps his "Magic" is alive; and Wyclef proves he's still C.R.E.A.M. of the crop. It's all inside this week's Top Rap Songs chart.

(3) Shiban says:

R U SERIOUS!??! “Blue Magic” sucks, the lyrics suck, its a Neptune’s commercial beat, Jay sounds way too lazy, and did i mention Pharell does the hook, or chorus or whatever, like he does in almost every single song the Neptune’s produce! this track is garbage, so if u mean this is classic Jay AFTER Reasonable Doubt, And before Blueprint, then hey i agree with you 100 percent. if his album is gonna be filled with songs like this, don’t count on me buying it.

I agree with Shiban, that Jay Z song is…TERRIBLE.

But just wondering, why don’t you have “Body” by Ja Rule on there? It recently came out and it’s a great song.

(7) Anthony says:

Jay Z’s barely has any flow with it. When I listen to songs I want to be able to bounce with the beat. The lyrics are pretty good, but the lyrics should’ve been on a much better beat. This beat was poorly made. Compare that beat to 99 Problems or “Oh My God” –Both by Jay Z.

The reason I like the Ja Rule track is because it has a good flow, decent lyrics, and it’s meaningful.
