Kanye Blasts MTV Over Britney, VMA Loss

Monday September 10, 2007
The Associated Press is dishing that serial sore-loser Kanye West threw yet another tantrum at the recently concluded Video Music Awards. At a private pre-VMA performance, West lamented MTV's decision to pick Britney as the opening act, saying that "she hasn't had a hit in 5 million years." He also ripped at MTV for shunning him in all the 5 categories he was nominated for.
"That's two years in a row, man...give a black man a chance," West told a reporter. "I'm trying hard man, I have the ... No. 1 record, man."

According to a backstage source who spoke to MTV, Kanye started getting upset after watching the closing performance featuring Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Nelly Furtado on a closed-circuit monitor. "He started asking anyone who'd listen why he wasn't allowed to perform on the main stage. 'Why did I perform in just a suite?' he was saying. 'Justin's my boy, but even he gets to perform in both a suite and on the main stage? Something's wrong here.' "

Is it just me or does this reek of a desperate attempt to brew publicity right on the heels of a new album release? Mr. West knew exactly where he was going to perform and seemingly went along with MTV's plan. Why, then, is he crying over spilled milk?

man i get more and more annoyed with west every comment he makes, he is an average rapper who makes commercial songs to dance to. He pales in comparison to the real legends of this genre.

i love west, but i don’t know about this one. it could be his temper, or just a publicity stunt. who knows? but the important question is, who cares?

He’s just jealous because he never wins…Kanye let britney out of it because even though she’s a disaster now no one will never forget her huge career and even though she sucked at the vma there were no reason not to let her perform so get a life and learn to lose!!

Bitter black man.

Get some talent and you might win something.

His skin color only gives him more oppurtunities in our society. Equality for blacks is now inequality towards whites.
