Open Mic: Is Barack Obama the "Hip-Hop Candidate"?
Yesterday I bumped into a KING article, in which writer Keith T. Clinkscales pointed out that Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama is as hip-hop as it gets. Not only has Obama chopped it up with luminaries like Ludacris and Jay-Z, his gift of gab calls to mind the narratives of your favorite MCs. When he was interviewed on well-known hip-hop station Hot 97 FM, he admitted that he occasionally bumped Jay-Z and Beyonce on his iPod. It's unlikely that Obama will run as a "hip-hop candidate," but he's already passed some of the crucial tests should he need to.
So, what do you think? Is Obama the "hip-hop candidate" or does that title belong to someone else?- Rudy Giuliani (R)

Personally, I don’t want to label Mr. Obama a hip-hop candidate. I want him to win this election so damn much, that I don’t want to give those bigots and self-rightous fools in the media who knows dick about hip-hop, any ammunition to use against this man.
Barack is the man. He knows how to inspire the American people in a decent way.
I am in favor of a change in our government. We need a breath of fresh air. We need someone who is not from the “good old boys” club, and that includes Mrs. H. Rodham Clinton. We need someone who is not afraid to learn something and to try new approaches and one who will protect our language and our social security and not be tied to lobbyists money!!
