Kanye's Graduation and 50 Cent's Curtis Postponed to 9/11

September's still 54 days away, but it's already shaping up to be a historic day in hip-hop. You'll have two event albums to choose from, as both Kanye West and 50 Cent will be releasing their respective third albums on that day.
Curtis was moved back from September 4 to September 11, while Graduation was previously scheduled for August 21.

So the question is: which album will have higher first week sales? Most poeple would say Fiddy, but since the first three singles from the Curtis album have flopped, Kanye may give 50 some competition.
I remember when yayo flopped (he dropped on the same day Late Registration came out) and 50 blamed it on Kanye.
Right. And if Kanye’s album release date really sticks, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Fiddy’s album get pushed back – again.
I doubt 50 will get pushed back for Kanye. Ye’s a big seller, but 50’s numbers speak for themselves.
Ah, but U know how egotistical Fiddy is. He won’t wanna share the spotlight during the week of his album’s release. He’ll want a whole week to dominate the charts – and media attention.

I agree, 100%. I will definitely NOT be buy the 50 album, but WILL be buying the Kanye album. If hip-hop is going to change, its really up to the consumer. Besides, Ye ain’t that bad on the mic, and the beats are fly.

I agree, most here are on some dumbs#it and are a lost cause. 50 sucks, Kanye is ok, mostly for his beats. Neither is about what true hip hop is about. Album sales isnt what its about. Eminem king? What a joke – he’s good but overrated cuz he’s white and has issues. be real.

There are far too many heads in hip-hop that actually can flow, producer, stay consistent and stay positive with major street credit. A lot of upcoming artist have shown this and many early 90’s cat are doing the same. Radio is brainwashing society to only recognize top 10 artist. hip hop nowadays is truely underground/indie but like everyone, one day those artists become commerical. i will always love hip-hop but what this record sell BS is nothing but drama and all u kats are funny!
