It looks like 50 Cent's recent remarks about Master P (50 said Master P doesn't sell CDs anymore) have forced P to take the G-Unit General to war. Master P, who insists that his new project is more about providing listeners with a positive alternative than it is about sales, has now picked September 4--the newly announced release date for Curtis--as the street date for his next album, Hip-Hop History.
"This record isn't about making money, it's about providing a choice, changing, and hopefully saving lives," says Master P in a statement. "Before we condemn others for making a change, we should take a look in the mirror and ask ourselves, what are we doing? Are we a part of the problem or are we a part of the solution?"
In his defense, 50 Cent commented (on BET's Rap City) that Master P is being hypocritical by playing the bad-rapper-turned-good position after years of vulgar lyrics.So, which album will get your hard-earned dollars on that day? 50 Cent's Curtis or Master P's Hip-Hop History

BACK IN 97 OR 98, CBS made a documentary about CP3, Calio, 3rd Ward, Calliope Projects and of course Percy Miller… This documentary got me hooked to P’s ghetto lyrics and raw beatz (his lyrics were very rawww)… But Percy has got to change his “good” mentally and stop being hypocritical.
P’s appareance on MTV VMA’s back in the day was shameful.

Im from the south and I love Master P and have for many years, however I don’t think that this album will sell as well as 50’s.The flip side to this is that P has been in the game a long time and 50 is going to have to come hard to beat P at his own game and that I don’t feel that 50 can do. 50 is going to have to learn a little more to even compare to P. So 50 pimp ya game up ya heard me.

I think rappers should stop battling, shooting, and killing each other. DAMN, it’s bad enough that white people think of us as drug dealers, hustlers, pimps. All we think about is money and don’t like to give some to the poor. It’s people who don’t have a home, who don’t have clothing, and who don’t have any food to eat. 50 cent cares about money than he does his people.
I will get Master P’s because he is more talented. P is real. 50 is a fake who stole the name 50 cent from someone else and all of his songs sound the same. I think he picked the wrong man to mess with. P went up against both coasts before and won respect for the whole south.
