Queen Latifah and Bruce Willis Present: The Hip-Hop Project

Saturday April 21, 2007

Despite all the bad rap hip-hop has been facing (no pun intended), Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah have taken it upon themselves to underline the positive side of a culture that's often misunderstood (no, we're not talking about those Hip-Hop Abs TV commercials). The pair recently teamed up to produce The Hip-Hop Project - a documentary that zooms in on the productive power of hip-hop. It's the story of Kazi, a teenager who put homelessness behind him to inject hope and healing in the lives of other teens through hip-hop. The Hip-Hop Project is slated to hit theaters nationwide on May 11, and will be accompanied by a similarly-titled full-length album.

Take a look at some production stills from The Hip-Hop Project for a visual appetizer.
