Snoop Dogg Mystified by UK Visa Ban

Snoop Dogg won't be able to attend his own concert in Britain as he's been denied a visa into the country for his past criminal activity, including a fight at Heathrow airport last year and ongoing drugs and weapons charges. 65,000 fans have already bought tickets for the Pass The Puff concert with Diddy, but the U.K.'s Home Office insists that Snoop Dogg will not set foot on British soil.

Obviously, the west coast MC is not particularly excited about the ban. "It feels like a slap in the face if I don't get to perform there," he told MTV UK. "I think (the government) need to speak to the kids. If they say they don't want big Snoopy Dogg there I'll keep it moving, otherwise open up and let me do what I do. I'm here to perform and give people what they want - to be a peace figure."

"Me and Puffy come from a background where with the east coast and the west coast there were a lot of differences in the hip-hop community," he said, referencing the coastal feud that engulfed hip-hop in the 90s. "But now we want to go around the world and show positive examples in the UK. With my mic and my presence I can reach kids the politicians can't and tell them to stop the violence and killings that are currently going on in the UK."

Irrespective of the outcome, a planned concert at London's Wembley Arena on Tuesday will go on with Diddy and the rest of the show, according to the tour's spokesperson. Foreign citizens could be barred from entering the UK if there were concerns about their presence. Maybe the UK's concerned that Snoop's perm will obstruct traffic at the airport again.
