Emperor Lu can now add another feather to his hat. The Grammy-nominated Chi-Town whiz kid emerged victorious in what turned out to be a 2-man showdown, garnering 559 votes (34%). H-Town favorite Chamillionaire settled for the runner-up spot with 508 votes (31%).

Papoose is the closest combo to exemplify lyrical prowess, witty word play, whimsical stories, alliteration, and has the power of multi syllable rhyme scheme I have heard…. The problem is that people that know he has laid a stronger foundation as an MC than every person listed in this category. Papoose was on a rhyme session with Styles P (LOX) and Lupe Fiasco. I mean Styles isn’t new (he did rip it though)like the other two artists. However Lupe was merely average compared to Papoose. This is poll means nothing.

I mean papoose might be a liltle more lyrically than lupe but lupe is more versetile and more real when it comes to composing songs
Ya’ll gotta be kiddin’ me! Papoose isn’t necessarily a new artist, but he’ll eat Lupe Fiasco’s candy-*$$ anyday. I woulda voted for my man Termanology. Ya’ll the same lames that make all Ludacris’ joints go platinum.
I agree lyrically Papoose is better than Lupe but, he didn’t come out with an album this year. Lupe has, so that makes him best new Hip Hip artist of 2006. In response to Blayz, Ludacris sucks.

Papoose can’t hold a candle to Switch, Conflict Diamonds, etc. Papoose is sick, but Lupe is a lyrical beast. No question
