50 Cent Rattled by Death Threat in Iraq

Tuesday November 28, 2006
Don't let his tough talk on wax fool you, 50 Cent is not completely out of tune with reality. In fact, the so-called gangsta rapper had a reality check while hanging out with the U.S. troops in Iraq last year. According to the Post Chronicle, Fiddy became nervous after a soldier reminded him that he was in danger of losing his life.

"I had an opportunity to perform for the soldiers in Iraq when I went on tour for (film) Get Rich Or Die Tryin'. As soon as I got there, a guy said, 'Listen, I'm not gonna bulls**t you, you can die today,'" said 50.

He added: "At first I thought, 'Why did I even come here?' At the end of that experience the people that got to see me perform may be the last thing they see; the last time they enjoy something before they go out tomorrow to fight - and some of them may not come back, bottom line."

For some reason, I suddenly feel like listening to Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones II."

Hmmm, I thought he was ready to die, always talking bout how he wasnt afraid of nothing. He can try and take Pacs philosophies and make them his own, but the difference is that Pac truly didnt care if he died or not.

Why is everyone swinging from 50’s nuts? He made 1 good album! He is done. He is to focused on taking over rap instead of making good music. If NAS does not bring it with his new album he is done. So far the only thing that NAS has right is the album title! Jadakiss takes to long to put out anything new. He will never be able to compete anyone. Where are you Dr Dre?????

I laugh every time I hear something “thug” about 50 cent. I was deployed during his visit. I fly on C-130s which is THE transportation of celebs in and out of the ’s**t’ We brough 50 into Iraq. He was complaining about the ride. Web-seats aren’t very comfy to someone who wears a pound of gold and diamonds around their neck. I like them, AND my trusty hammock. Anyway, after we dropped him off, we went to the chow hall to wait on our cargo and haul ass to another stop. about an hour later, we heard mortars in the distance – big whoop, that was how it always was. We get called back to our plane after an hour and a half in it to take “Mr. Cent” out. He was wearing a flak jacket, and holding a second one across his back and around his head. He wanted to go home. He couldn’t take the sound of the mortars (IN THE BACKGROUND). We hear it everyday – there’s cargo to bring in and out everyday. There’s soldiers and marines to parachute or “bus around” everyday. They hear the mortars a lot closer. They hear bullets whistle past their heads. Sometimes they are hit. Sometimes their convoys get an IED. I don’t see them wearing 2 flak vests. I don’t see them selling out – they go home and try to find normal again. We DID say s**t to his face. We even laughed at him. I said that it was funny how people talk a big game on BET and MTV but when it comes down to it, they don’t measure up to their talk. YES… TO HIS FACE. and he said nothing. (his staff asked us to not talk to him, how cute.) :-D
