Snoop Dogg Caught with a Weapon at the Airport
What is it with Big Snoop Dogg and airports? The 35-year old emcee may soon be facing charges if authorities decide to prosecute him for attempting to board a New York-bound plane with a collapsible baton. Snoop told sheriff's deputies that the 21" baton was a prop for a movie he was filming in New York. Suuurre.
"He had a collapsible baton and it is classified as a dangerous weapon," sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino told the Associated Press, adding that the stick collapsed to eight inches.
It's not the first time Snoop, 35, has had problems with airport officials. You would recall that, back in May, Snoop accepted responsibility for using "threatening words" in a brawl at London's Heathrow Airport. Snoop and five others were arrested on charges of violent disorder after some members of his entourage were denied entry to British Airways' first-class lounge.
In related news, Snoop's Tha Blue Carpet Treatment is set to drop on November 21, 2006. Monday evening, we locked in a 10-song preview of Snoop's new album at the Houston Listening Session. Stay tuned for a re-cap soon.
