Top Rap Releases for October 2006

Sunday September 24, 2006
Maybe it's a race to beat the Recording Academy's deadline for next year's Grammy Awards. Maybe it's the fast-approaching holiday season. But, for whatsoever reason, the fourth quarter sees labels pulling out the big guns with the quickness. As our Classic Rock Guide, Dave White, puts it, "new releases are dropping faster than the leaves are falling." See our Top 10 Rap Releases for October to see what I'm blabbing about.

No problem.

I still think that Q-4 will turn out to be the strongest for hip-hop. With Kweli, Snoop, Game, and possibly, Jay all dropping in November, the next list should be a lot more exciting.
